(1 Cor. 11:31) "For if we should judge ourselves, we should not be judged."

The bible has a lot to say about judging.  It makes very clear that none of us is qualified to judge other people (Matt. 7: 1-5), and we are warned not to do it.  On the other hand, we are told that examining, or judging ourselves is a wise thing to do, for one day WE are going to be judged by God.  At that time, where we spend eternity is ordered.  The verdict will be decided on two issues. . . . (1) Did you make Jesus your Lord, and  (2) Did you obey His commandments.

The bible gives a plain yardstick for measuring ourselves.  (Gal.5:19-21 NLT) tells WHO WILL FAIL!  "When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results:  sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your little group, envy, drunkeness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin.  Let me tell you again, as I have before, . . . . .That ANYONE living that sort of life, WILL NOT inherit the Kingdom of God."

(Rev. 21:8)  adds, "But the fearful and the unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters  and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death, Do you see YOUR particular sin in the lists?  It is better to EXAMINE YOURSELF NOW ,and correct your course, than wait until later and FAIL!!
