"Blessed are the meek (humble), for they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5)
Tyrants, madmen and dictators with mighty armies, have attempted to conquer the earth. Our scripture informs us that it is not the powerful who will have the world, but the meek! Meekness (humility) is the same as gentleness and includes the ability to control temper, anger and the tongue. While usually mild mannered, the meek are also able to speak out forcefully and powerfully and effectively when needed. Jesus said "Learn of me, for I am meek and lowly."
What a BLESSING, to be in control, when everything is out of control. What a blessing to have the same temperament as Jesus, and how wonderful are we BLESSED to inherit and hold, what the most powerful conquerors could NEVER attain!
