A CHURCH DISARMED
I have been looking for a church that still has regular prayer meetings. I said PRAYER meetings, not preaching, teaching, choir practice . . . . . but PRAYER meetings.
Prayer is the powerful defensive and offensive weapon God has given the Christian. Like the intercontinental ballistic missile, prayer can reach any target in the world. It can accurately hit a target as small as the heart or mind of an individual anywhere. its payload can change things and people. It can annihilate the works of satan.
Jesus said (Matt. 18:19), that two, agreeing in prayer have have power. He also said that His house is to be known as a "house of prayer". (Matt. 21:13)!
When the church gathers for prayer, each believer present is a missile launcher. Imagine the firepower that could be unleashed against evil, if the churches would go back to meeting together for prayer!
Someone said, "If satan can distract you from prayer, he has effectively disarmed you.
MANY CHURCHES have laid their weapon of praying together down. IS YOUR CHURCH DISARMED?
